Dr. Anoush Poursartip, Co-Director, Composites Knowledge Network, is moderating a panel discussion at AeroDef Manufacturing®, a conference and trade show for the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry running November 7-9, 2023 in Long Beach, California.
The session on November 8, Building a Skilled Workforce for the Industry of the Future, will cover challenges and opportunities in building a skilled workforce for the advanced manufacturing industry of the future, from the perspective of the community, including large and small companies, universities and colleges, training organizations and regulatory bodies.
As moderator, Dr. Poursartip will guide a discussion that aims to examine the current state of the industry and identify areas where further research and investment are needed to build a skilled and diverse advanced manufacturing workforce, and identify strategies that can be implemented at all levels to ensure the continued growth and success of the advanced manufacturing industry.
Panelists include Satyandra Gupta, Co-Founder and Chief Scientist, GreyMatter Robotics; Waruna Seneviratne, NIAR Director Research/Senior Research Scientist, Wichita State University; and Robert Koon, Fellow, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
