Cure and Thermal Management Considerations of Thermoset Composites

Effective thermal management to control cure during manufacturing of thermoset composite parts is one of the critical activities to achieve the required outcomes in terms of part quality, mechanical properties and dimensional conformity. Although the fundamental heat transfer mechanisms remain the same, different manufacturing processes and equipment have specific considerations that must be taken into account while developing the thermal transformation step.

This webinar will focus on using fundamental heat transfer concepts for three different case studies to provide insights into developing a cure process for thermoset composites. Each case study will highlight and discuss the key parameters that affect the curing part as well as how to include them in designing processes for successful curing of composite parts.
